Hong Kong : where do you go for value for money steak in Hk ? western food anyone ?

Well, western food isn't the first cuisine that usually comes to mind when you're in HK. But Hk actually whips up pretty good western food.

There are definitely the high end hotel and Michelin star chefs restaurants. However, today I would like to introduce to you a hole in the wall western restaurant.

Think of saveur in Singapore and here you have 1986 house. A quick chat with the restaurant staff indicated that 1986 was the birth year of the chef. Young chap I must say! That's why it reminded me of saveur. A young man living out his dreams.

Now more onto the sumptuous food. Here's the dinner menu.

A pretty good spread I must say.

And here's my black truffle risotto with chicken and mushroom! It's so flavourful and the chicken chop is of the right qq texture!

The rest of the meat- like steak, ribs, ox tail etc disappeared into C's stomach the minute it arrived. But trust me it was stuppendous!

It's a small cafe but it has it's own character.

Enjoy!
